(www.RoadRacerx.com, written by CJ) AMA Pro Road Racing kicked off its 2010 season with an incredible SuperSport contest early this afternoon at Daytona International Speedway, with Cameron Beaubier came out on top of an incredible, race-long battle in the 12-lap contest. The race saw the top five riders all finishing withing three-tenths of a second. Runner-up Joey Pascarella had allowed Beaubier by earlier in the final lap to set up the finish-line draft, but he pulled out of the slipstream early and Beaubier was able to pull back around the outside, nipping him at the line by .001 sec. Jake Gagne completed the podium, with JD Beach and Tomas Puerta rounding out the top five. Sixth-place finisher Huntley Nash and seventh-place Elena Myers were a part of the lead group in the early laps before the top five gained a slight edge.
