Tooele, Ut (September 7, 2009) Well this weekend was the final round of the Xtrm Supermoto series and Joey's final ride with the Troy Lee Designs team. The year didn't go as planned for Joey but he was not going to let that stop him for the final round. After getting the news that the final round was cancelled and Miller was going to be it for the year, Joey wanted to go out big.

After the first practice it was quite evident Joey was going to be the one to beat. During the time practice Joey was the only rider to post times in the 1:49's with Mat Burton in the 1:50's.

The field lined up for the first race with Joey on pole. Joey was second into the first corner and sat back and waited to make his move. After a few laps Joey made his pass for the lead and never looked back. Joey pulled out a lead of four seconds and held the gap until the finish. The win was needed after his injury to his left wrist at the beginning of the year.

The second race Joey was fourth into the first corner but qwickly charged to the front before the first dirt section. After gaining the lead Joey laid down some of the quickest laps. He pulled out a lead of five seconds and held the distance for a majoried of the race. Joey had to back down on his lap times toward the end of the race due to a tire problem. Joey finished the race with a four second gap for the win.

With the double win Joey ends the series on the podium in the number one spot but without the Championship. The Xtrm Supermoto Lites Championship went to Joey's friend Danny Casey.

Joey would like to congratulate Danny on winning the championship.

Joey and the LTD Racing team will compete at the Daytona event October 16-18. This will be Joey's final AMA Supersport race of the year.
