NASH SEVENTH IN PRACTICE FOR LTD RACING AT KANSAS

Topeka, KS (July 31, 2009)– LTD Racing's Huntley Nash earned seventh position in Friday afternoon's AMA Pro SuperSport practice at Heartland Park in Topeka, Kansas with a time of 1:43.721. Teammate Tomas Puerta (1:44.124) was next in eighth as the two teen racers practiced at the Kansas circuit for Sunday's race.

In Moto-GT2, Huntley and teammate Corey Rech put the Touring Sport Ducshop Ducati on pole position in their bid to back up their Mid-Ohio class victory two weeks ago.

In SuperSport, Nash and the team went through a plethora of changes at both ends of the Yamaha R6, looking for the ultimate settings for Heartland Park. “I went a little faster, which was good, but the changes didn't feel that great to me,” said Nash. “We've made a lot of changes to both ends of the bike and the team has worked hard both Thursday in promoter practice and today, so thanks to them. It's been very educational getting to ride the bike with these changes and get the feel for how certain settings affect other parts of the bike. I learned a lot. We'll regroup and look forward to another day here tomorrow. Seventh place is pretty good and we'll look to improve on it further tomorrow in qualifying.”

Tomas Puerta came into the weekend with an injured wrist that has made riding difficult for the Colombian but 'Tomy' has proven to be a resilient competitor. He was eighth despite a fall in the afternoon. “The morning was good and we made some progress. In the afternoon, I wanted to make the bike better in the session. Time was going by and I wanted to come into the pits, but I did one more lap before I came in and lost the front," he said. "My wrist was sore before we started but I have been able to do some okay lap times. Tomorrow, we will have a better day."

The third young LTD Racing hotshot Joey Pascarella will miss the Kansas round as he races in the X Games Supermoto this weekend in California. The LTD Racing team wishes Joey the best of luck in that competition.

SuperSport qualifying begins at 8:40 AM tomorrow morning.
